I was wondering. Is it possible to use Lua to change the player skins? I know its possible to change player skins by replacing sprites in your "players" folder but when you do that no one sees it -- its only you that can admire it. I'm talking about putting a sprite ontop of your character that also moves with your character as you aim, shoot, switch wpns and so on. Is anyone able to do this?
It would be sweet if someone could make this happen. I asked DC if he could add something like "Player Skin Transfer" but he turned me down the last time I asked for this (about a year ago).
Yes but what about if you are shooting? Would you need some sort of animation to go with the sprite you put ontop of the player to make it look more realistic?
Yea, but the problem would be all player wiggle animations, it's impossible hide player image with Lua because of that.
DC could add it into ration parameter...
It would be great if you could have custom player skins on server from a filepath of maybe "<cs2d parent folder>/gfx/player/<custom folder>" and a state of activating them on server or not using a console command like this sv_customplayerskins 1/0(on/off). But I don't know how that will work, it's just my crazy ideas again.

I really like your idea. Also, the skins would be transfered to players/server
It would go like this:
Player A (server) has modified M4A1
Player B has modified M4A1 (different) but he can see Player A's skin.
Player C has original M4A1 skin, and everybody can see original one.
So everybody can have different skins, but everyone can see them.
