two things, first is that killing a enemy while blind isnt so hard, just shoot the direction that the FB came,a and second, ppl would so abuse of the unlimited range, in dust2 they would just spray bullets in the path that leads directly to the enemy base, btw it would lead to a massive radar hack acusation due to the fact that you can kill a enemy in the other side of the map

This is a suggestions thread. You suggest
things. This doesn't always mean that you'll get a reply from DC. Infact, if he would reply to all suggestions, he wouldn't have any time for himself.

This is a free game, so that means that DC works on it whenever he wants because nobody is paying him.
This thread is here to give DC ideas and perhaps things that he himself hasn't thought about adding. But I repeat, that this does not mean that you'll always get a reply from DC.

(this message goes to those which's brain cannot comprehend the reason why DC doesn't always respond, aka being dumb and annoying)

I've found a little bug in editor.
Make, anywhere on the map, a trigger_use. Name it "lol" (example). Make another trigger_use and with it trigger the other trigger. Then make trigger_once. When ur done, first choose trigger_move, delete the 2nd trigger_use, and put the trigger_move on the same spot as 2nd trigger. Don't edit it, and point it whit the mouse.

Result:
The line that shows trigger is triggering something is still there even if the 2nd trigger_use is deleted and there is nothing in the trigger's move trigger field.

Maybe you know about this i don't know.

Well, there's a thing that when we write something wrong, we can't go back with keyboard arrows (<- or ->). We have to delete all letters till there... It sucks!

For example, we have a nice name with symbols and stuff, be we wrote it wrong, we got to delete until we reach that point.

Examples

Te Njame!
(with some symbols and stuff...)
× We have to delete almost all to fix Te to The and Njame! to Name!.

Te Namje
(with symbols...)
√ Using the arrows to go fix Te and Njame.

Other text filed issue is the CTRL + V.

When we do that the name disappears.
If we want to paste a simple symbol, like my favourite, the (R) or TM...
But, if a full name is pasted it's different...

Examples
{Pasting into the name}

× TheDark1337 pasted TM at his name (disappears).
TheDark1337 pasted TheDark1337&#8482; at his name, first disappeared than pasted again and appeared...

Another dumb examples...

∗ Final (other text field issue is the CTRL + V) Suggestion: Disabling that... therefore are two options...

× Players can not paste anything at they're name, even if name disappears or don't.

√ When players paste a symbol, it will be added to the name.

Other: Same as the √ one, but only some symbols can be pasted and others are forbidden.

OMG! I try to write fi eld (without spaces) and it transforms to filed! WTF?
I wanted to write about a text fi eld. For example the zone at the "Title" that we write is a fi eld.
I use spaces because it auto-edits itself...

First of all, NOT.

Right, you can't change the Dedicated commands.
But, before you create a dedi-serv, go to New Game and then set all settings good. Press to Start the game, then close it and CS2D. It should be default settings.
Open the dedicated and done. No needs for the Viewer.
But if you want to change dedi server settings while it runs, DO NOT forget to set rcon.

That's why CS2D Viewer is a 3rd party tool and it's not on the dedicated server pack.

Not.

A 2 will appear in your name. I'm not telling to use Ctrl C!
It's different! Ctrl C is to copy other player's name.
Ctrl V is to paste a symbol tht we copied from our MSN, Internet, notepad, etc. Not copied from the game.

what you mean whit looking in the logs? he means using the arrow keys while typing so you dont need to delete all and write again in case you mispelled it, idk how the logs are related to it

i would like a possibility to enter the folders in the "Create Server > Maps". The reason is that I have a lot of maps, but I would like to have them in one folder. I know I can make a "lol" in front of them, but I don't want to do that. Thank you.

I want the possibility to enter the folders that you have made. The "Create Server" page doesn't show any folder in the selection, and I would like it.

Another thing.
Editor can show folders, and I can enter them, but any map i select that's inside folder doesn't work. It shows "Failed to load map!"

Oh, and how about a field for the rotation? Like, in env_sprite, you have to turn the line, and that gets really annoying when you want precision. I'd much rather type in my angles, because all of my sprites are exactly 45, 90, -90 or whatever.

At the moment you have an weapon switch delay after throwsing a nade. In my opinion the delay is a bit to long. On the other hand you have no delay when you are switching from a knife to a primary weapon, which makes e.g. the M3 to an totally imba weapon in maps like de_desert or cs_office.

There should be an delay when you are switching from one weapon to another, and it doesnt matter which it is. But it is important to get an information when the switch has been succesfully done. Maybe with an bar like the reloading bar.

I never liked how your enemies can hear you zoom.
Might seem like not a big deal, but it actually is.
Especially in fog of war.

If zooming, the zooming sound of a sniper can also be heard by your enemies, which in a competetive game can pretty much give away your position (they can hear from where the zoom sound comes from, just like they can hear footsteps or shots). It would be good addittion to the game if it would be impossible for your enemies to hear you zoom in and zoom out, because it's pretty annoying and gives your enemy exactly information on if your zoomed on or not.

A 'sniper' is supposed to be skilled marksman that knows how to be stealthy, unseeable (in CS2D that counts as camping in smoke, or behind a tree sprite) and quiet. But currently the "quiet" part doesn't fit, because if you zoom just once your enemy will hear it and probably duck behind cover.
