so i had a big map that i was working on and it ran fine in windows xp but then i switched to windows 7 and it laggs miserably and i cant fix it any suggestions?

windows 7 is the most fast OS in the world. Xp got lover requirements than the windows 7 so you should update your drivers or ram. This si what will happen if you switch from slow to fast

try OpenGL. It does increase FPS.
@Cybernet: Not true. You contradicted yourself by saying that XP has lower requirements (which means that it is faster than 7)

XP got lower requirements and 7 got bigger but 7 is 10 times faster

Cybernet, your completely false. XP has lower requirements which makes the 10 year-old OS the "de facto" on older computers. Newer computers, of course, use Win7 which is a new Operating System.
