.png file, using alpha channel;
.bmp file, using black (0;0;0) as transparent.

well, if you mean lua, there are 2 ways:
.png file, using alpha channel;
.bmp file, using black (0;0;0) as transparent.
.png file, using alpha channel;
.bmp file, using black (0;0;0) as transparent.
I know how made bmp, jpg, and other formats with alpha channel.
