This ep has a really difirent sound from what he makes as the name "Skrillex" But it sounds a lot like his old songs. He made when he wasn't famous. As twips.

This is my review on it:

Leaving: has a nice beat. And chunky notes. And really good bass. And the end is awesome. Its a masterpiece. But the beat gets repetive.
The vocals is really nice and chilled. The song has a violin in at: 02:27 and that one makes it really athmospheric. The song is really good.
And has a really chilled fat and low bass. But it feels really unfinished.
9/10

The Reason: Sounds a lot like Sonny's old songs. Funny groove. Moogish synths with beautiful notes. And a really nice variety.
When the trapish drop comes it gets really phat. And thats what i like. The drop has a really slight hard groove. A jumpy groove. You can definately hear that its skrillex.
After the drop it goes back to the intro. Its a masterpiece. I want to hear more like this from skrillex. I think this is the best song on the EP.
10/10

Scary bolly dub: Really nice groovy beat. With some really nice variety.
After that you hear fucking die with a bonga and conga.
The drop is okay. It has some really nice colorfull synths.
Then you hear scary monsters and nice sprites intro.
It sounds mostly like a mashup after. And i think thats really un-proffesional of an artist like skrillex to realease something like that.

But its a really bassy song and i like it.
7/10

Im really happy that Skrillex makes something diffirent. He could get hired to make music for a game because the songs are really athmospheric.

But dubstep in general is just shit music. Mainstream shit music.

Here we go, it was very hard to shut up and just ignore the thread.

I think skrillex will stop produce brostep.
Why most people think skrillex make dubstep is because they have no idea about what dubstep is.
Dubstep is drumstep but instead of straight basslines and a fast beat its 130bpm and has wobbles and has a really slight beat.

Does anyone think leaving sounds like burial a lot?

FACEPALM³²

First of all, Dubstep rooted from DUB which comes from Raggae. Then, after Dubstet, there was Drumstep. Dubstep has 140BPM, NOT 130! And there is Dubstep out there which DOESN'T have wobbles.

I love Drum & Bass and Dubstep much, but Skrillex is too much mainstream, but there is one good track, Bangarang...

And where is drum and bass then?

But you are right. But there is dubstep at 130 bpm. Thats the tempo i make dubstep in. And i think it sounds just fine. But burial makes dubstep at 90bpm.

Dubstep comes from dnb too.

Drum and Bass has nothing to do with Dubstep. It's way older than Dubstep.

There is, but usually, Dubstep is at 140 BPM. That's how I do Dubstep too.

Nope. As I said, it's way older and has nothing to do with Dubstep.

Oh, what happened to the times when you defined the style by the way the vocalist sang, the way the guitar was played and the idea of the lyrics and not beats per minute...

Drum and bass is 140 bpm.
But sometimes 170 or even 80 bpm.

@user palomino:
You had a bpm before. But you usually didn't measure it.
Its called "Tempo" in case you didn't know. You measure bpm with a metronome.

I know what it is, I studied music in a specialized school.
What I meant, is that before people said: "This is punk and this is emo, because in the first song you can clearly hear the protest against the oppressive government and the common three-chord pattern, while in the other song you can hear emotional lyrics with the main theme being love and/or depression". Now it's: "No, this is [style 1] and this is [style 2] as you can clearly hear that the first song has 120 beats per minute while the other one has 300 beats per minute".

You are right. And I know why. People only use synthesizers nowadays. But you can hear the difirence on some music.
