Hey,

I'm trying to play Stranded 2 but when I launch the game, there's a very loud audio glitch/buzzing that happens. I've searched everywhere and can't find any information about it.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Video of the issue on Youtube but apparently I can't post links. It's youtube (dot) com /shorts/s8LCaT3q6uM

Probably some driver incompatibility or whatever (Stranded II is using super old tech so some drivers might not support it properly anymore).

Unfortunately I have no idea how you could resolve that.
Maybe with Windows compatibility mode but I guess chances are low because that stuff seems to focus on video problems.

@user Seekay: I've tried port it to Xors3D but some things are changed and it doesn't look good. Trying now with Blitz Sharp that uses c# instead of BlitzBasic but i am just a hobbist and it might be dead in few weeks since I do not have such a good knowledge of programming. Alpha masking works, now it has no transparency because I've tried something with Depth Of Field. FPS shows 49/50 as in Blitz but it feels so smooth. Audio isn't working, maybe because not everything is ported or it is using different audio lib. It would make more sense to port it in another engine.. i have some plans but they are jsut plans and i work it only in spare time

Hi Monkeys, Stranded II is absolutely playable on modern hardware/ operating system.

Consider checking your 'Speaker Properties' -> 'Advanced' -> 'Default Format'. Some values may produce artifacts in older titles.
(I didn't have to adjust it in my case, it is at 24 bit, 48000 Hz

Failing that, consider updating system drivers.

I'm playing on windows 10 x64, with a GTX 1060 & 32GB RAM
