I have computer with Vista OS and when i try to run CS2D it says "Unable to create 3d scene"! I know, there are other posts like that, but i tried all the solves of this problem, but they don't work for me! Hel please!=( Admin/mod comment
title changed... /DC Oh, i forgot to write what solutions i tried:
-i updated the graphics card drivers to may 2008 version (my card is geforce 8500gt)
-i updated the directx to march 2008 version
-i disabled UAC in Vista I get this error aswell, but on my windows 98 who has a XP add-on.
It means the graphics card suck. 
But seriously... 
There's like no way to fix it according to me, so buy a new one. Or replace it with your old one, if you had one. DC Admin

try all the compability options of vista. you can find them if you rightclick the cs2d exe file. I don't know how the menu is called in the english version of vista but there should be a tab in the properties menu of the exe file Lee Moderator Offline
right click, property, compatibility, change the first drop-down to windows XP sp2
